I can hear their screams in the night, shouting "I don't wanna". I certainly don't! Editing is the worst part of writing and the best at the same time.
So let's say it together.
You will get through this. It is making your book better. Don't take things so personally.
That's your new mantra.
But I will advise, make sure you get a lot of alcohol to get you through this, or whatever vice you have because the editing process is going to be painful and it's going to suck. There's no getting around that. It's going to eat at your insid...
There's only one thing that you cannot, under any circumstances, ever forget.
You have to write to do that.
SHOCKER, I know, but there's going to be a lot of points where you want to stop. You'll get tired one night, the rest of the world is going to press down on you, family, friends, relationships, those all have to come first of course. But they can't impact your writing to a point where you just... stop.
Believe me. I've been there. It's a shitty point to realize you haven't written anything in two weeks and deadlines are breathing down...
The holy grail of all writing topics. How to write believable, LIKeABLE, characters.
I mean, we all know I'm not the queen of likeable. I write very very good unlikeable characters, particularly the ones who people want to hate but there's just something under the surface that makes them want to know more. That's my jam. However, I do have character's that everyone loves.

Publishing is a very strange world in which you're learning as well as actually doing at the same time. Sometimes this will backfire, but in my experience, learn as you go, fix later.
The biggest thing to tackle is 100% the world you're writing in. There's a thousand different ways to go, and each has it's own nuances.
Now, I'm not an English Teacher. I'm not someone who has gone to school for this. I don't offer paid for classes. I can only tell you my experiences and what I've learned after writing and publishing 15+ books.
